Dharamsala – MacLeod Ganj – teachings of His Holiness the Dalai Lama (check dalailama.com for info on the teachings, sign up a few days before the teachings), meet Tibetan refugees, teach them English. Some restaurants show various movies about Tibet, the refugees and Tibetan life.

Watch a cricket game, it is one of the favorite pastimes of the Indians, and you’ll see lots of kids playing the game in the fields everywhere.

Eat and drink: Thali, a platter of mixed meals, great to try different meals. Try your favorite Indian meal here (tikka masala, palak paneer), it will probably taste a bit different than what you’re used to at home (since it is the traditional spicing, and not adjusted to the western style).
