Inspiration – travel movies, books, magazines, travel quotes

Travel inspiration can come from different places. Here are a few:

Movies
The Secret Life of Walter Mitty
The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit trilogies are fun to watch before you go to New Zealand.
Try to find a movie that takes place in the country you want to visit. Make sure it is a fun and positive experience, and not some horrific story that makes you not want to go anymore.
New Zealand: The world’s fastest Indian, Whale Rider
Australia: Lucky Miles, Tracks

Magazines
Pick up a National Geographic, Wanderlust or another travel magazine that appeals to you. They even have themed magazines that may be about the country or area you want to explore. Or even just for general travel inspiration. Take out pages with places you want to put on your Travel Magic List.

When you see a beautiful place in a magazine: you should find out where it is and then just go there!
Maaike: That’s how I ended up seeing Hamilton Pool (a lake with overhanging rock), close to Austin! I spotted it in a magazine in Germany. A month later traveled around in the States and I told my friends in Austin that I would love to see this place.
