Nepal

Best from October until April, summer is rain season. Winter days very mild, comfortable temperatures, sunshine, clear blue skies, nights colder.
Kathmandu, interesting culture, Durbar Square, Temple up on mountain,

Everest-flight from Kathmandu, if you don’t climb it, then at least see the top of the highest peak above sea level in the world. Next to the other Himalayan mountains it doesn’t seem so high, but it is still very impressive.

Pokhara, adventure central: paragliding, parahawking (highlight! Go for the Maya Devi stay and see the birds every day) in front of the Himalaya’s, hiking (Annapurna trail), kayaking. Enjoy good food (Thic Thak, great stews in clay pots from the oven) and cheap hotels. Lots of shops where you can get your outdoor gear for any activity for a low price, books.

Eat and drink: Dal Bhat, mixed meals, and lentil curry
