A popular continent to explore. Europeans have traveled all around the world, discovering new regions, but nowadays people come here to see historical sites and buildings.
Need to know for when you travel in Europe in Summer: most hotels and hostels in northern European countries (Scandinavian countries, the Netherlands and Germany, to name a few), don’t have air-conditioning. They may have a fan to move the hot air of Summer (if you happen to be there during some unexpected heat-waves in the normally mild summers), but there is no way to cool down your room to livable temperatures. The countries around the Mediterranean are a bit better equipped for the hot weather, but mainly because it is more common to have a hot summer. The winters there may be unexpected cold, and it will be difficult to warm up the place without a heater.
I know, the pillows while traveling are never as comfortable as the one you have at home. But the pillows in Germany take this to a whole new level. They are filled with the idea of a stuffing, rather than actual feathers or the likes. They look big, square and fluffy, but when you put your head on it, it is gone. You’ll be lying with your head on the mattress, wondering where the pillow went. It will be useful to bring an inflatable pillow (even the travel neck pillows will do), t at least give the head a bit of support while sleeping.
